Scott Murray 
Managing Director

Scott began his career with C.D.S. as an apprentice drilling and sawing operative nearly twenty years ago. Between his time with the company, he served as a Royal Marine Commando and built further expertise in the oil and gas industry, working both overseas and in the North Sea. Stepping into the role of Managing Director from his father, Malcolm Murray – who founded C.D.S. – Scott now draws on this diverse experience to guide the company’s growth and long-term vision.

Claire Murray
Company Secretary

Claire Murray is our Company Secretary with seven years of experience managing occupational health human resources and business development. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Glasgow Caledonian University. Her professional background includes working for the NHS and leading physiotherapy clinics for BAE Systems in Govan and Scotstoun, as well as at Babcock Marine at Faslane Naval Base. She brings valuable expertise and leadership to our team.

Kenny Halkett
Operations Manager

With more than 25 years in the construction industry -over 15 of which at C.D.S. – Kenny brings a wealth of hands-on experience to his role. Beginning his career as an apprentice, he quickly advanced into supervisory positions before taking on the responsibility of overseeing all major structural and demolition projects. Today, he plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day management of C.D.S., ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

Scott Crookston
Contracts Manager

With over 30 years at the company, Scott’s career is a testament to dedication and skill. Starting out as a concrete operator, he steadily advanced to supervising large-scale structural and demolition works. Today, he heads our concrete cutting and drilling division, ensuring projects run safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

Steven Halkett
Fire Stopping Contracts Manager

Before joining C.D.S., Steven worked in Australia as an ROV pilot on offshore vessels. He began his journey with us as a fire stopping operator, quickly mastering the trade and progressing to assistant manager. After gaining further experience as a fire stopping contracts manager during a two-year spell in London, Steven returned to C.D.S. to take the lead role in our fire stopping division, where his expertise and leadership ensure the highest standards across every project.

Matthew Legge
Senior Quantity Surveyor

Matthew joined C.D.S. in 2020 as a graduate from the Edinburgh Napier University and has quickly established himself as a key member of the team. Now leading our estimating and commercial management functions, he combines precision, strategic thinking, and a results-driven approach to deliver value on every project.

Brian Wilkins
Finance Manager

Brian has been a cornerstone of C.D.S. for over two decades. He manages supply chain costs, payroll for more than 50 staff, and a variety of financial operations. Before joining us, he honed his skills as a bookkeeper, laying the foundation for his meticulous and reliable work today.

Tommy Aitkens
Maintenance Manager

Tommy has spent the past six years ensuring our plant and vehicle fleet are always operational. He oversees cost management, servicing, PAT testing, warranties, and day-to-day maintenance. His work has been vital in keeping up with the demands of our rapid expansion.

Gary Murray
Demolition Site Manager 

Gary brings 25 years of demolition experience to C.D.S., where he’s been a key team member for the past six years. Most recently, he helped deliver one of our largest demolition projects – the Edinburgh Futures Institute – with precision and professionalism.

Mirren Jane Murray
Administration Assistant & Business Developer

Fresh from graduating with a BA (hons) in English Literature from the University of Strathclyde, Mirren brings a creative and detail-oriented mindset to her role. She supports pre-tender qualifications, quality control, website and social media management, and a wide range of administrative tasks.
